With Bočis in the Bohemian forest

Our second trip with our Wander Club was in the Bohemian Forest. We set off on the 5th of January straight to a supermarket, where we bought food for our travels. From there we traveled by taxi to the train station. We took a GW train to Černý Kříž (Black Cross), a small village of 16 people. Here we enjoyed the sight of the Cold Vltava river and then we went by train to Nové Údolí (New Valley). Because we were right next to the borders, we decided to pay our German neighbors a visit. We visited the Haidmühle village and after lunch, we walked to Stožec, where we bought tickets for a train to Lipno, where we had dinner. The next day we visited the “Through the Trees” trail. Unfortunately, it was a very foggy day, so we didn’t see the view but it didn’t stop us from having a lot of fun. We bought a few souvenirs afterward and then headed to České Budějovice, and from there back home, to Prague. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, we enjoyed our trip as much as we could, and are looking forward to our next trip to Lipno.
